Would you like a wooden wedding ring?

Now I’m a bit young to be even thinking about what sort of wedding ring I would like but it’s good to know my options I guess. Above you can see a wedding ring made out of wood, these are the latest thing to hit the market, eco-friendly rings, each of which are completely individual. Different materials can be used to make the custom made rings. The rings are an alternative to the traditional gold ring as gold mining can be quite harmful to the environment. One simple ring can result in 20 tons of mine waste. You can still have that huge diamond you’ve always dreamed of you just now have the choice of an eco-friendly alternative.

Can these get wet? I can imagine it going horrible in the shower, perhaps not the most practical solution to wedding ring alternatives!

I think they must be specially treated so they can be worn for everyday use. I’m not so sure i’ll be asking for one though!
